First Birthday

So we survived. I haven't gotten to write in a long time, with everything that's going on here at work, it's been real depressing, yet busy.

We had our annual technology conference at EdTech last week. All my sessions were packed, which was thrilling. Our CFO even attended one of my sessions, and seemed impressed, whew. I get nervous when there are bigwigs in my sessions! I'm thankful I knew what I was doing and that God was on my side throughout that one. It was my first presentation on Weebly and it went great.

Then Friday came. I had to let my cleaning lady go, she just was never here. I like her, but when I get a call or an email at least once a week telling me she can't be here, I give up. I think being on site at a job at the RIGHT time is really important and also being reliable and consistent. If it were me, and it was my real job now, they would have let me go a long time ago. Anyway, Matthew saw the playpen and bouncer for about 3 hours on Friday while I cleaned the house. I have to say, it gave me great satisfaction to clean again. I was able to put things in their place and had such a pretty house when I was finished! Then we had the big birthday bash on Saturday.

I ran Saturday morning, and got everything out on the table. Mom got there a little early to assist with putting the food out. It was a great hit. Thank you so much to Alexander's BBQ for the wonderful food. It cost some money, but that's okay. We got Matthew a Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots set and we got him a box of Lego's. He loves both, but his favorite toy came from Aunt Debbie. I don't even know how to explain it, but I thank Toys That Teach. John was thrilled our minister was there, they are good motorcycle buddies. :)

Oh well, back at work. Matthew was sick with a nasty head cold on Monday, and I was a Reading Olympics judge yesterday in Hanover. I had a ball. I love to see those kids thrilled about reading.

Hugs to all of you. Here are a couple of pics for you to enjoy!
