Sloppy Janes

Healthier version of one of my childhood favorites.
2 WW Points
Serves 12 (1/4 cup per serving)
80 calories per serving, 2 g fat, 25 mg cholesterol, 6.5 g carbs, 1 g fiber, 9 protein

Ingredients
1 lb ground chicken
1 small onion, chopped (used vidalia)
1 small green bell pepper, chopped
14 1/2 oz can low-sodium diced tomatoes
3 Tbsp brown sugar
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp chili powder

Directions

  • Brown chicken in a nonstick skillet, stirring to break into small pieces.  
  • Add onion and pepper to meat in skillet, cooking a few more minutes, Drain.
  • Transfer meat mixture to slow cooker.  
  • Stir in tomatoes, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and seasonings.
  • Cover and cook until flavors are well-blended,. 2 hours on high or 4 hours on low.
  • To serve, use wheat sandwich rolls (not included in calorie count).
