Ingredients
1 lb ground chicken (original called for beef)
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
One 29-ounce can of tomato sauce
One 15-ounce can chili beans in chili sauce, not drained
One 15-ounce can red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
One 14.5 ounce can diced tomatoes, not drained
2 cups chopped onion
1 cup chopped green bell pepper
2 tablespoons canned chipotle peppers in adobe sauce, chopped
2 teaspoons chopped garlic
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1 tablespoon lime juice
Directions
Spray a slow cooker with non-stick spray or use a slow cooker liner.
In a bowl, mix together all ingredients, BUT ground chicken, onion, and peppers.
Place mixture in slow cooker.
Use non-stick skillet to cook ground chicken. When done, add onions and peppers. Cook until tender. Add to mixture in slow cooker, stir, and cover and bake for 7-8 hours on low, or 3-4 hours on high.
