Yields 6 servings
Ingredients
1 lb raw ground turkey (fat free)
1 cup diced red onion
2 tsp minced garlic
1 can tomato paste - 6 oz
1/4 cup reduced sugar ketchup
1 Tbsp brown sugar
1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp apple cider vinegar
1 cup reduced fat cheddar cheese (used Cabot's)
48 frozen tater tots
Directions
- Cook ground turkey over medium heat.
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees and spray a 9X13 casserole dish.
- When complete cooking turkey, add garlic and onion. Let simmer for a few minutes.
- Stir in tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, vinegar, ketchup.
- Mix well.
- Transfer meat to casserole dish. Sprinkle meat mixture with 1/2 cup of cheese.
- Place 48 frozen tater tots on top of meat mixture; 6 rows, 8 each (like Drizzle).
- Bake 10 minutes. Remove from oven, sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup of cheese. Return to oven for 10 more minutes.
- Remove, let cool. Yields 6 servings. (8 tater tots per serving)
