Panic Time....

Ok, just looked at my ticker on The Nest this morning, 10 days to go, pardon my French, but holy shit!

We had a good weekend. I cleaned the upstairs of the house, and walked on my treadmill for about 3 miles. We then did a low-key dinner. John spent most of the weekend working on his motorcycle. I also learned to collapse the stroller, put it in the back of the car, and put batteries in the bouncer. Someone gave us the rainforest bouncer, it is the cutest darn thing I've ever seen. When you pull on the toys that dangle, monkeys sing and dance. This kid will be crazy about it, if not, at least his mom is.

Sunday, we attended church and then I spent a lot of the day with my parents. We went out to lunch at Cracker Barrel, her choice, not mine and I got a salad, she got fattening pancakes and eggs. Shame on her! We then went to Target and I got a new purse, very small, that pretty much is a wallet on a string. I feel this huge need to make things as simple as possible right now. I'm going to be tugging a suitcase around as it is (diaper bag), so I figured that I'd get something small.

After I got home, I took some pictures of my husband riding his motorcycle up on the back of his truck on some contraption he built for the motorcycle conference he is going to attend at the end of April (my birthday weekend!!!). You're still on the "s" list for that one buddy. We then hung Matthew's name in blue letters over the crib and fixed two drawer handles on the dresser that were being uncooperative.

I am freaking exhausted now. For someone who has had the easiest of pregnancies, these last two weeks have sucked! I am not sleeping, despite even taking a sleeping medication, but oh well, I'm sure it will all be fine soon enough. I still think it's mother nature's big joke to prepare you for sleepless nights. I plan on going to Ukrop's on Saturday and buy the place out, stock up and put things in the freezer, to have after the baby is born. I think the crockpot is going to get its use in the next few weeks.

I'll post some pictures tomorrow of the nursery and some of the goodies we've put together for the baby. I can't wait to put him in the bouncer. God bless and continue to keep us in your prayers.

And now ... it's only 9 days to go!!

Good idea to practice with the stroller. And might I suggest you practice with the car seat too (the carrier portion). We could not figure out how to get the little booger in their before we left the hospital when we had Griffin.

Also ... just a suggestion. Keep a pencil with a big eraser on the end handy. Your hands may become dry and cracked (from washing them so often) ... so at first you might need the eraser to press in on the car seat button if your fingers won't work. Does that even make sense?

You are SO ready my friend!!
