Hiking and Hummingbird Award

Matthew had the day off Friday. This teacher had to work.  John and Matthew took an adventure to Crabtree Falls. 

Today, Matthew earned the Hummingbird Award in Sunday School class.  He memorized and recited the 23rd Psalm.  The irony in all of this is my daddy's favorite bird was the hummingbird.  He had books on them, fed them, and would sit in his backyard watching them all during the summer.  I have no doubt he was around today.  I couldn't resist getting a little teary-eyed during the whole ceremony.
